The lovely folks at CKUW 95.9 FM (where I also volunteer and host a radio show) have been spinning my new record a lot lately. See for yourself at the link below:

The folks at Witchpolice Radio invited me to take part in this wild concert event called The Big Mix-Up 2, the second in a hopefully long-running series where musicians from all genres and styles in the city are brought together in random bands to create improvised songs out of thin air. Audience participation dictated everything, from the absurd to the hilarious to the strange and beautiful. Listen for yourself! I played guitar and sang some strange things about bacon and puppies, and even played drums a little bit towards the end.
Nicholas Friesen, of futurekids, had me over at his house to record an episode of his podcast Jaded and Elated, to talk about some of the women who were a part of 90s Canrock like cub and Maow on Mint Records. We filmed a short interview, as well as a cover of cub's "Main and Broadway" and a previously unrecorded version of my song "Barnes & Bubble".
Ashley Bieniarz and I had a wonderful conversation this summer about our city's music scene for her website, Winnipeg Music Project. We recorded audio for whole thing and it's available online at the link below, as well as a few songs of mine (Windfall was recorded live during the interview - the first recording of the song to exist online).
Earlier this year, I recorded an episode of the podcast Witchpolice Radio with one of their hosts, Sam Thompson. We talked about music, volcanoes, mispronounced surnames and Winnipeg's extensive music history.
Thomas Pashko came by to interview me on behalf of the Uniter, the campus newspaper of the University of Winnipeg, for an article about my digs. Simeon Rusnak is responsible for the above photo as well. Careful, there's a Garnet amp up ahead!
My band, The New Wild, put out an EP in 2015, and it reached number 2 out of all albums that were in rotation for the entire year on CJUM/UMFM, beaten only by Jose Gonzalez.
